Entry-Level Production Operator

Advanced Illumination, Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized entry-level Production Operator centered upon our laser cutting operations with a desire to grow a career with our expanding operations in Rochester, Vermont. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the employee will be trained and responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting and basic preventive maintenance on the laser machine as well as assist in tracking and reporting of the laser center inventory while collaborating with other departments during the manufacturing process. The future of this role is dynamic and requires an individual that sees their potential for growth within the company with responsibilities increasing on the production floor proceeding mastery of the laser cutting machine.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting machine
  • Setting up machine, loading material, adjusting settings, monitoring production and performing quality checks on finished products
  • Ensure that manufacturing requirements and standards are met consistently
  • Maintain an organized and clean laser operating center
  • Assist in inventory tracking and reporting within the center
  • Communicating and collaborating closely with other production team members
  • Management of workflow as responsibilities and tasks within production increase as mastery of the laser cutter is achieved

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic Math skills, including fractions
  • Basic Computer knowledge
  • Comfortable working with measurement instruments
  • Effective communicator, oral and written
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude and willingness to learn, take on new tasks and work as a team
  • Physically capable of lifting(less than 10 pounds), kneel, squat, bend, stoop, and reach overhead

Education: High School diploma/GED

Compensation: $17.50/hourly. *As complexity of role and skill increases, hourly pay will increase*

Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday (4.5 day work week), No Weekends, Flexible hours
